Privacy policy — Engineered Insanity Lookup

The Chrome extension. Last updated 18 September 2026.

This policy covers the Engineered Insanity Lookup browser extension, published by Engineered Insanity. It is separate from the privacy policy covering our online stores, which describes customer and order data.

Who this is for

The extension is an internal tool for Engineered Insanity staff. It is distributed unlisted and works only for people signing in with an approved company work account — engineered-insanity.com, ballequip.com, fixmytoys.com or 8tenindustries.com. It is not intended for customers or the general public.

What it collects

What it does not collect

How the information is used

Solely to answer your lookup and to keep the service secure. Records of refused sign-in attempts are used to shut out repeated invalid access to the lookup service, and for nothing else.

What is stored on your computer

Nothing else. Uninstalling the extension removes all of it.

What is stored on our servers

Your email address, when you last used the extension, the address you used it from, and which searches were run. Records of refused sign-in attempts are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically.

Who it is shared with

Nobody. Your data is not sold, rented or shared with any third party, and is not used for advertising. It stays within Engineered Insanity's own systems.

The only outside party involved is Google, who verify your sign-in. That is the same sign-in you already use for work, and is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Your choices

You can switch the extension's access off at any time from your account page on our internal system, which stops it working immediately, and you can uninstall it from Chrome at any time.
